GREATER HEIGHTS AREA
HISTORIC NEIGHBORHOOD, WALKABLE STREETS
The Heights is one of Houston's most historic neighborhoods that dates back to the late 1800s. The Heights is very rich in character, with a huge diversity of homes that range from historic shot-gun style bungalows to luxorious and hyper-modern new builds. The Houston Heights Association, of which Circa Real Estate is a member, is extremely active, which means that much of the neighborhood's history has been preserved and there are many community events, such as Lights in the Heights, Heights Homes Tours, White Linen Night, First Saturday, and more!
Art is very well celebrated in the Heights, with an ever-changing statue garden on the Heights Boulevard running path, to the Art Car Museum, to the Sawyer Yards/Winter Street Studios (the largest and most active artist community in Houston), to various art galleries throughout the historic shopping centers.
The sheer amount of running paths, bike paths, neighborhood restaurants, pop-up style artisan shops, antique stores, and florists make the Heights rank with the highest on the "Most 'Walkable' Houston Neighborhoods." There are more than 500 Yelp-rated establishments interwoven throughout the neighborhoods of the Heights.
The Heights also baosts the historic 19th Street shopping strand, which has been a shopping center since the 1800s. Art deco theatres (The Heights Theater, still showing top-tier performances today), bars, vegan ice cream stores, botiques, and more line the blocks of the historic 19th Street-. Angela White's office with Circa Real Estate is also located on 19th Street, inside the historic Harold's building. Sharing the block are Torchy's Tacos, Emerson Rose, Harold's Tap House, and more.
If you are interested in living in this beautiful and historic area, Angela can give you a tour of the neighborhood and show you homes that are on the market and within your price range.
